"The dove (sent by Noah) found a resting place on the Sabbath."
This rendition of the Sabbath morning song is a quartet of three flutes and a piccolo, accompanied by the piano. We can hear hints of the dove (and other birds) who praise their Creator and gladden us and the world, with their song.
We notice the contrast here between the sweet flowing of the dove who rested on the Sabbath, and the other earth-shattering events mentioned in the poem (Sinai and the Flood), seen as though through the eyes of birds.
