about

This poem contains a bounty of imageries of beauty and splendor used to demonstrate the glorious appearance of the Kohen Gadol on Yom HaKippurim.
The melody is in a major key, a very unusual occurrence in Jewish music, and the only one on this album. The major key lends the melody cheerfulness, lacking the tinge of sorrow generally present in even the happiest of Jewish music.
The poem speaks of the Kohen Gadol in the holiest place at the holiest time, a time of atonement and great joy.
